“Tekenen is voor mij niet langer een doel, maar een middel geworden, om contact te maken.

Contact met de oorspronkelijke inspiratie, het onbewuste en bovenal met de toeschouwer.

Als kunstenaar ben ik in staat meerdere rollen te spelen, als een sjamaan bemiddel ik tussen het onzichtbare

en het zichtbare, als een archeoloog vertel ik verhalen aan de hand van de ‘opgravingen’ vanuit de geest,

die ik als een psychoanalyticus (her)ontdek.

Het tekenen zelf is een ritueel geworden, haar betekenis achterlatend in de tekening. Een gestokte handeling.

Als een visioen, onvoorzien. Overal waar de gesproken taal te kort schiet, zetten de beelden het gesprek voort.

En ik blijf als toeschouwer achter.”

Being an artist enables me to play multiple roles, as a shaman I mediate between the unseen and the seen world,

as an archeologist I tell stories on the basis of my 'excavations' from the mind,

which I (re)discover as a psychoanalyst.

Drawing itself has become a ritual. Leaving her meaning in the drawing itself. A paused action.

Like a vision, unforeseen. Wherever the spoken language falls short, the images continue the conversation.
